I stayed at brand new Watermark Beach Resort that’s bigger than my own apartment.

My partner in crime for the weekend, Erin Ireland, and I about to step into our go-to transportation, a yellow school bus. We felt like school girls all over again.

Steven Page, ex-frontman of the Barenaked Ladies, played some old favourites to a lucky bunch as we eat dinner and sipped on local wine. I was filming from my table, so please don’t mind the random people that get in the way. He sounded amazing and wanted to share these three great songs that I’m sure are your old faves too. Brings me back to my teens. A weekend highlight for me.

There was no way I was leaving without stopping off at a few wineries, especially Road 13. They have tasty chardonnay that’s perfect for a summer patio.

Summer came early for me  a few weeks ago in desert wine country Osoyoos. At 30 degrees, the Osoyoos Celebrity Wine Festival was packed with more fun than I’ve had in a long time. Being only 5 hours outside of Vancouver and almost guaranteed to be hot and sunny, it’s the perfect spot for a summer getaway.

Having won a silver medal in freestyle moguls last week, she’s also designed an exclusive collection for Birks, the official supplier of jewellery to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Fiona Forbes hosted the Birks event, held at its flagship store downtown, that was filled with media, fashion editors, bloggers and PR gals. Traditionally, not my first choice for trendy accessories, I’ve recently changed my mind since seeing Jenn Heil’s sterling silver pieces. I’m heading back this weekend to pick up the bangles and stacked rings. You should too, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. From $95.

Event producer Jet Set Crew and Canvas Lounge are hosting a series of victory parties each night over the Winter Games that include Women’s Snowboard Cross, Men’s and Women’s Luge and Gold Medal Hockey celebrations. Here are some of the most stylish I’ve come across so far, from food blogger (itstodie4.com) and FMA host Erin Ireland (in white), personal trainer Anna Wong (hot pink skinny belt), model Melita (check pants) to the trendy tights that complete any outfit.

Some call her Vancouver’s Megan Fox, and I don’t disagree. Erin Ireland is a host for FMA Entertainment Weekly, a spanking-new local show featuring the latest and greatest in fashion, music and art from LA to Vancouver. So if you want to stay up-to-date with trends, city hotspots, celebs and more, be sure to watch Saturdays at 10:30pm on KVOS (it’s not like you go out until midnight anyway).

Thanks to Miriam Alden at Brunette Showroom, Erin’s knockout threads are from Zanerobe, a sporty yet trendy collection that includes printed tees, denim and fun casual dresses, to name a few. Her flirty So and So geometric print skirt will transition perfectly into the warmer months and we can never have enough ‘little black tops’ such as this Gaelle tank. She’s also rockin Lisbeth Jewelry, a local line where you’ll find trendy New Age necklaces such as the crystal and unicorn, simple styles that include the heart and locket and delicate earrings that add style to any outfit (the heart studs are my fave).
