October’s favourite colour scheme is officially food-inspired. Yes ladies, we’re talking about the classic and delightful berry yogurt parfait. In this case, it’s a delectable mix of blue, red and violet shades. Mixing bold colours can be scary, but consider the newest colour combo an easy A. The secret is to choose bright and jewel toned berry tints, such as cobalt, crimson and deep violet. The Giambattista Valli and Elie Saab fall collections both showed pearly white dresses and toppers to die for, so don’t forget to top your berries off with some deliciously fabulous white.

We’ve known for a while that matchy-matchy is passé in the fashion world. Designers took it a step further this season though by combining unexpected prints for a playful, fun take on Spring patterns. At first glance the unlikely combinations may strike you as a stylist’s handiwork gone terribly wrong. Polka dots with stripes you say? Florals and animal print? Never fear, there is a method to the madness. Rocking this look without appearing like you got dressed in the dark is all about size and colour. By keeping the different prints in the same colour palette and roughly the same size you will avoid clashing. Also make sure that your accessories are in solid neutrals to avoid any added distraction. This trend is not for the faint of heart, but fashion is all about experimentation, so go ahead and give it a try. We dare you.

Vitamin Daily's newest intern Chole looking fab in her cropped blazer and tiered skirt. Loving the black and white combo.

DKNY opened it’s doors last week in Oakridge to a crowd packed with fashionistas and shopoholics. While indulging in yummy finger foods from C restaurant and an assortment of refreshments, I couldn’t take my eyes of these must haves.

Rubber Boots – A great alternative to gumboots. Both stylish and practical.

Purse – Add a hint of animal print to your outfit.

Fur Vest – Fur is an important trend this season.

Red Dress – The perfect red addition to your fall wardrobe. I love the long sleeves and cross-over neckline.

Black and Leopard Dress – I love the bow detail in this one-piece.
